studio introduction
Dr. Stephanie Meyer’s instruction advocates healthy vocal technique and music reading skills to a wide variety of students. Her studio comprises of vocalists participating in UMKC Conservatory, Kansas City Symphony Chorus, KC Metro All-District and All-State Choir, Lyric Opera of Kansas City’s High School Honors Artist program, collegiate choirs, high school musical theater productions, garage bands and church music.

Applied Voice, individual lessons for major, minor, and elective students including preparation for degree recitals. Class Voice, group instruction for first semester voice students advocating healthy vocal technique, music literacy, and International Phonetic Alphabet. Opera Workshop, introducing rehearsal conduct, performance practice, and directing stage movement for all undergraduate levels of singing.

Private voice lessons for ages 12-adult, including Classical and Musical Theater repertoire, an introduction to International Phonetic Alphabet, music reading and aural skills. Students are strongly encouraged to perform on a studio class or public recital each semester.

One-on-one instruction and performance experience preparing students for university auditions. Grant funded lessons take place in selected schools focusing on under represented populations. Students are required to perform on a public recital each semester.
